Aristotle and Elpiniki Papouté have built the first organized hotel unit in the community of Pedoulas in 1917. The Hotel "Aristotle" was the first organized hotel unit of that time, consisting of sixteen rooms and a café. Aristotle recruited the best craftsmen of the era to create a large and modern building of high standards which was very innovating for the mountainous communities of Cyprus at that period.

The most special feature of the hotel constituted the carved stone decoration at the main entrance, a wooden door decorated with geometric motifs and an ornate metal portcullis above it with an inscription stating the date of the erection of the building. The three-story building was entirely constructed with the local stone and had wooden balconies with comfortable seating area and panoramic views. In addition to the external grandiosity of the hotel, was the unique style of the interior design with innovative applications which thereby gave the hotel uniqueness and prestige.

The hotel "Aristotle" operated until the 1940s or so when it was abandoned as a hotel but was used for other purposes. In the 2000s nothing reminiscent of the old glamour of the building which was declared ramshackle and therefore had been prescribed for demolition. With the announcement of the demolition of the hotel, Panicos Anastasiou and Areti Nathanael Anastasiou took action and achieved to buy it with the vision and the will of its full restoration and reopening. The outer stone shell of the building was maintained while internally it was entirely rebuilt. All parts which were demolished were impressed and rebuilt according to the original standards. The main entrance and the ornate metal portcullis have been preserved and restored and constitute the logo of the hotel as well as the hallmark of the unit. Furthermore, the new owners have named the hotel "Aristotelio" as a historical reference to the founder Aristotle Papouté.

The dilapidated hotel "Aristotle" was transformed into a beautiful modern hotel which features all comforts and facilities offering to its guests, relaxation, comfort and rest. It is a gem and jewellery of Pedoulas and beyond.

"Aristotelio" is a small and remarkably elegant hotel, ready to offer a warm hospitality. It currently has 8 beautifully decorated rooms, a restaurant and a bar. The restaurant offers unique taste experiences with dishes based on the Cyprus cuisine. Traditional homemade dishes with local ingredients from small industries and orchards of the area.
